H-E Parts Engineering facility is equipped to perform in-house metal spray. Our metal spray expertise provides our customers the opportunity to reduce the total cost of component repair through the reduction of complete part replacement. Our specialized metal spray services allow for shaft and housing journal repair in a quick, reliable and efficient manner. The effectiveness and efficiency of metal spray allows customers to get back up and running with the shortest possible turnaround time.
For most applications we recommend 420 stainless steel as the coating material for internal and external bearing and seal locations. We also have the capability to source and utilize a range of coating options and processes dependent on the specific application and customer requirements. We recommend 420 stainless steel as it can be utilized from a standard build up thickness of .375mm, to heavy build ups of 3mm, due to its low shrink as a sprayed coating. On shaft and housing reclaiming positions, 420 stainless steel will be comparable and in most cases exceed the wear life of the original base material.

Onsite Line Boring and Internal Welding
Our dedicated team offers bore welding as a further addition to our maintenance, service & repair solutions. Our functional MIG system caters for both inside diameter (ID) or outside diameter (OD) weld build up. It utilizes step technology that offers a consistent weld with less distortion and easier re-machining. This ‘Smart Weld’ unit complements both our mobile repair and inhouse welding requirements to ensure fast turnaround.
