BIRRANA™ BRAKE WEAR GAUGE
INNOVATIVE BRAKE MONITORING
The Birrana™ brake wear gauge (BWG) is used to measure brake wear by informing the user as to how much of the brake life remains. The Birrana™ BWG is installed during a brake rebuild and stays in the wheel group to make testing convenient and safe.
One direct measurement is all that is required to determine brake pack wear. Brake bleeding, which is considered an arduous and lengthy task, is no longer required following measurements as the brake wear gauge doesn’t need to be removed from the brake group.
Additional benefits to the Birrana™ BWG are:

- Improve brake life monitoring and change out planning
- Improved accuracy and repeatability of brake wear measurements allow maintenance plans to be made with confidence.
BIRRANA™ COLLETED PIN
At H-E Parts, we have developed the Birrana™ Colleted Pin to eliminate the need for the lancing or pressing of seized pins traditionally used on haul trucks. Conventional pins used in these locations are notoriously difficult to remove, wasting time, money and causing damage to housings.
Due to the innovative design of our Birrana™ Colleted Pin the need for lancing and boring is greatly reduced. This solution reduces costs and improves safety associated with the lengthy and arduous task of replacing regular OEM pins. Birrana™ Colleted Pins can be used for rear suspension, control rod and A-frame hitch pin assemblies.
BIRRANA™ BEST PLUG
INNOVATIVE OIL PLUGS
The Birrana™ oil sample plug (BEST Plug) is a small and easy-to-install component for wheel groups and differentials which offers customers a reliable, safe and convenient option when it comes to checking for contamination. When checking the magnetic plug condition for wheel groups, it reduces the need to drive the truck back and forth during servicing. For differentials, it reduces the need to use additional equipment such as pumps and hoses, and the ability to control the drain rate.
In addition to the Birrana™ BEST plug assembly, the Birrana™ oil sampling plug is offered for customers with a preference for fast, simple and easy oil sampling in their wheel groups. The Birrana™ oil sampling plug features an easy-to-use valve that allows the magnetic plug and oil sampling tube to be inserted and removed without allowing oil out or contaminants in. Much like the Birrana™ BEST plug, correct use ensures that oil spills and scalding risks are eliminated.
