The new facility, which began construction in December 2016, is strategically located on Route 26 (Ruta 26), approximately 15 kilometers (9.3 miles) from Antofagasta. The new facility provides the Chilean division of H-E Parts with productive space twice the size of their previous property with the capabilities to triple the division\u2019s current production levels.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose-built facility provides new capabilities, services, and product offerings to the company\u2019s local customers and South American market. The new facility houses a fully equipped component repair center for mining equipment, components for the power train, diesel engines, crushing product lines, and other integral services for heavy mining equipment. The facility will also offer parts for mining equipment and remanufactured components, hydraulic hoses and fittings, brakes for trucks and shovels, lubrication equipment, seats for operators, filters and services.<\/p>\n<p>H-E Parts&#8217; investment in its Chilean division is strategic as Chile continues to be a leader in the global mining industry. Chile\u2019s largest industry is mining, with Chile being the global leader in Copper production. As stated by H-E Parts\u2019 President and Chief Operating Officer, Michael Coffey, \u201cThe opening of our new facility in Chile is an important step in our global expansion plan.\u00a0We are very pleased to have this new base of operation in support of our mining customers in Chile.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Alfonso Teplizky Ergas, Vice Presidentand General Manger, Mining Solutions Chile and Peru, also shared his sentiments in regard to the move, \u201cWe have been working toward this moment for over five years.
