Attendees included Marco Antonio Diaz Munoz, Region Two Intendente of Chile, General Manager, Alfonso Teplizky, CEO, Steve McBrayer and COO, Mike Coffey.

On Thursday, October 25th, H-E Parts Chile hosted an Open House to commemorate the official opening of their brand-new facility off Ruta 26 in Antofagasta. This exciting event was a huge success and well attended by area customers, regional officials, key suppliers and our Chilean employees.

KEY ATTENDEES

H-E Parts was fortunate to have many key players in attendance to demonstrate their support for the Chilean team’s exciting future. These attendees included officials from the local government such as Marco Antonio Diaz Munoz, Region Two Intendente (left in photo with Alfonso Teplizky, Steve McBrayer and Mike Coffey). H-E Parts was also graciously welcomed by key Hitachi executives in attendance, including Koji Sumioka, Hitachi’s Executive Vice President from Tokyo, Japan, who opened the ceremony with a speech. And later in the event, Ms. Jenny Rojas of Minera Escondida joined the lineup of speakers to highlight her role as a representative for Women in Mining, Chile and the importance of women in leadership in the mining industry.

H-E Parts prides itself on being an organization that is interdependent with the other global region so it was meaningful to have key leadership from around the world in attendance to show their support for the Chilean team. H-E Parts’ Board of Directors and Senior Leadership were in attendance, many of whom had a key role in the establishment and growth of the Chilean business. One key individual, Steve McBrayer was also there to show his support for the Chilean team. Steve made his first visit to Chile in 2006, later acquiring Crown Chile (December 2008) and Morgan Industrial (July 2013). Without Steve, there would not be an H-E Parts Chile.

Former owners and leaders from the business, Mr. Roger Robillard and Mr. Ken Thompson, were also present. It was their vision and early investment in the property five years ago that led H-E Parts to this moment. Both Roger and Ken played critical roles in the establishment of the business and the transition to H-E Parts in 2013.

THE FUTURE OF H-E PARTS CHILE

This new facility is a significant element in H-E Parts’ desire to continually expand internationally. The Chilean mining market is extensive and the customers H-E Parts Chile serves are industry leaders. In keeping stride with their customers, this new facility is a necessary investment to provide H-E Parts Chile with the improved capacity and capabilities needed to service one of the most appealing and fastest growing mining markets.

H-E Parts Chile’s beginnings are admirable spanning over the last 26 years. This history was something that General Manager, Alfonso Teplizky, touched upon during his Open House speech. Alfonso credited the role that key employees played in the growth of the company and the exceptional support his team has received from other divisions within H-E Parts. From its humble beginnings in a small warehouse, to the new operations on Ruta 26, Alfonso and his team have built a company known for its excellence and customer service. With the long road of constructing the facility behind Alfonso and his team, H-E Parts Chile can now focus solely on growing their business and continuing to provide customers with exceptional service.
